If you haven't seen Fresh yet, you'd be doing yourself a favour to just watch it without reading anything else. And so, without spoiling any of its gamy twists and turns, know simply that Mimi Cave's debut is a savage satire of the contemporary dating scene.

Daisy Edgar-Jones is terrific as the exhausted Noa, who finally seems to have met her dream guy in Steve (Sebastian Stan) before a more disturbing truth emerges.

If a little too long for its own good, Fresh is nevertheless a messed-up good time courtesy of the well-matched Edgar-Jones and Stan, the latter giving a performance like we've never seen from him before.

Again, avoid the trailer and reviews: just watch it and see where it goes.
