What's basically undeniable is that Jessie Buckley gives a superb performances as traumatised lead Harper, who while holed up in a remote cottage to deal with her husband's death, is terrorised by a group of men who all appear to resemble the same man (Rory Kinnear).

It's a killer concept, and while Garland's central thematic isn't exactly subtle, sometimes the sledgehammer approach is precisely what a story needs.

Yet it's the film's absolute mind-melter of an ending that's kept people talking ever since, and yeah, you really just need to see that climax for yourself, because it's... a lot.

Men is out now.
