31. The Hilariously Dated CGI Car Chases (The First Four Movies)
If there's one aspect of the first four movies which has aged horribly, it's the propensity for CGI-fueled car chases, be it the insanely cheesy "Nitrous cam" (in which the view from the driver's cockpit would appear blurry once they activate Nitrous, in a lame effort to imply a huge sense of speed), or simply the preference to construct most of the chases on a computer rather than, you know, just filming them with real cars. 2 Fast 2 Furious and Fast & Furious particularly suffer with this, and in the case of the former, the effects can be shamed by pretty much any half-decent video game of the era. Did they really thing this was good enough, or even a good idea in the first place? Thankfully, the semi-reboot that was Fast Five completely upended this style, using CGI largely for physically impractical stunt-work instead.
