5. Anthony Hopkins - 'Cus And Mike'
Hannibal Lector training Mike Tyson is admittedly a movie I think we all want to see and, strangely, it appears we'll soon get that opportunity as Anthony Hopkins has been announced for the upcoming 'Cus and Mike', which chronicles Tyson's relationship with his legendary trainer, Cus D'Amato.
Hopkins will be playing, of course, D'Amato himself and although it initially appears an odd casting choice it takes little more than a short consideration of Hopkins body of work before it begins to make all the sense in the world. Although more well know as one of the world's greatest movie villain actors; Hopkins has often proved more than capable of playing endearing and sympathetically human characters, a quality that will no doubt be required in a film about such a close relationship between one of sports most volatile characters and his famous trainer.
Hopkins is one of those rarest of actors who has earned a divine right to play whichever part he feels like, and even bears some physical similarities to 'Iron' Mikes adoptive father figure, so there should be little doubt that this casting will be a perfect fit. With Dr. Lector as his trainer, that ear-biting scene will have some more context too...
