33. Prisoners Of The Ghostland

Nicolas Cage teams with legendary Japanese filmmaker Sion Sono (Love Exposure) for what the actor has described as "the wildest movie" he's ever made.

Cage will play an infamous criminal, simply named Hero, who is sent to a mysterious supernatural land to rescue the governor's kidnapped daughter.

That's probably enough to sell most Cage acolytes on this much-hyped project, which also counts Imogen Poots, Sofia Boutella, Ed Skrein, and Bill Moseley among its cast.

Cage has a number of enticingly off-the-wall projects due out in 2021, and Prisoners of the Ghostland seems primed to be the nuttiest of the lot.
