5. Charlize Theron Was An Extra Who Met A Bad End In Children Of The Corn III
Charlize Theron is celebrating a great year with Mad Max: Fury Road, which might make her reflect on her early days in the business. Furiosa is certainly a world away from her debut in Children Of The Corn III: Urban Harvest, where she was an extra who met a kind of gross demise. Shes credited simply as Elis Follower for the cheesy horror sequel, and she can be seen standing around in the background a few times. She doesnt even get any lines, but her biggest indignity is when her character dies in the climax. A big God/Plant monster thing is brought to life and starts killing people off in gory ways, and when it catches Charlize it impales her with a tentacle in a place where nobody would like a tentacle to go.Charlize never brings the movie up in interviews and cites 2 Days In The Valley as her first movie, so she probably doesnt look back on Urban Harvest with much pride. Naomi Watts and Eva Mendes probably feel the same way about their respective Children Of The Corn sequels too.
