8 Movie Trailers That Contained The Final Shot Of The Film
3. Quarantine
A remake of the superior Spanish horror film REC, 2008's Quarantine was an entertaining but ultimately unnecessary retread that brought very little to the table, and as a result, it exists in that middle-ground alongside every other generic, shaky-cam found-footage thriller.
The movie ends on a bleak, mysterious note, with news reporter Angela being grabbed by the legs and dragged into the darkness, her fate left uncertain.
For all of Quarantine's flaws, this was a very effective ending, or it would have been, had it not been spoiled in the trailers and on the damn poster; the very same shot of Angela being pulled away from the camera was featured in Quarantine's main trailer, and bizarrely, it was all over its marketing campaign too.
In a movie full of jump scares and characters screaming, quite why the marketing team couldn't have chosen literally any other shot to promote the movie is beyond us. Still, Quarantine made a nice bit of cash, so the move did pay off.
