2. That Line By Jake In The Trailer

That moment in trailer where young Jake Chambers feels the need to remind Roland why he must seek out the Dark Tower has riled the fans, and with good reason.

"If you let that tower fall, then billions of people will die".

What's wrong with that line of dialogue, you might ask. Nothing... except Roland doesn't need any freaking encouragement to seek out the tower - he's hellbent on doing so from page one of the first novel.

Nor does he need reminding of what is at stake if the Man in Black makes it to the structure before him. This is basically his sole motivation from the word go.

Having Jake plead with Roland to stay the path rings false, and make it look like the filmmakers merely skim-read the novels before diving into the production.
