8 Reasons Why X-Men: Apocalypse Might Suck

7. There's Too Many Mutants

Everybody is understandably getting excited about all the mutants we€™re going to see in this film, like fans always do when a new X-flick rolls around. Yet there€™s always characters that get short shrift when the cast list is too jam-packed - especially what with the prequels love of concentrating on McAvoy, Fassbender and Lawrence. Heck, even Nicholas Hoult caught a bum ride last time around, his one meaningful scene with J-Law being excised to the Rogue Cut.

Now they€™ve got Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Havok, Quicksilver, Moira, Psylocke, Archangel and Storm, not to mention Apocalypse, who€™s the damn villain of the piece - so will obviously command a lot of screen-time.

Unfortunately, at best, we can expect these guys to be walking, talking power sets with only one or two choice moments apiece and very little character development to go round - much like the future-set mutants in Days of Future Past, who were allowed to make a spectacle and not much else.
