8 Terrible Movies That Could Totally Be Saved By A Remake

7. Battlefield Earth

Battlefield Earth is the film that gets nothing, but flak, and deserves every bit of it. Holding an impressive 2% of Rotten Tomatoes to this day not even the audience cared for this sci-fi blunder. However, underneath all the garbage is a fascinating story. It takes place in the future where mankind is becoming extinct. We have gone back to more primitive ways and technology has been lost. All the remains of the good old days are rusting cars in broken cities. On top of that an alien race has invaded for the sole purpose of mining what natural resources the planet has left. Now it is up to one human to unite the others, rediscover the technological secrets of the past, and defeat the alien invasion. Sounds pretty decent right? Adapted from L. Ron Hubbard's novel over a thousand pages in length this film should have become a sci-fi classic. Only it didn't and what it became instead was an example of what not to do when making a film.
