6. Scarlet Witch

We’re in desperate need of some kickass female superheroes, since it’s mostly a boys club right now. Hopefully, the upcoming Wonder Woman movie will help move that cause along, and a Black Widow adventure threatens to happen any day; seriously Marvel, get on that.

Scarlet Witch has been an intriguing addition to The Avengers roster, thanks to the character’s unique powers and her surprisingly sweet relationship with The Vision. A solo offering with her might be a lot of fun, plus Elisabeth Olsen is more than capable of fronting a movie on her own.

It won’t happen, though, because of the aforementioned female superhero problem. Female led comic book movies have a bad legacy (thank you Catwoman) and until there’s a genuine hit, studios will remain gunshy.

There’s also no way in hell a Scarlet Witch movie would happen before a Black Widow movie, and since that project shows no sign of life forward the idea will remain a pipe dream for now.
