11. The Call-Backs

There are a number of shots that feel like they've been ripped wholesale out of other parts of the Alien franchise.

The Facehugger that first emerges from David's eggs and attaches itself to Oram seems very much to be a redo of the Kane Facehugger scene in Alien.

The later shot of the Xenomorph lit menacingly with emergency lighting as it patrols the ship's dark corridors is definitely a homage to the climactic battle in Aliens, too.

And of course, during that shower sex scene (which itself feels like it owes a lot to Psycho's most famous scene), the sight of the Xeno's tail slithering under the romantic couple is pretty reminiscent of the death of Lambert in Alien...
