10. Bring Back The Engineers

David’s DNA-bending assault appeared to leave their civilisation in ruins during that Covenant flashback, but mankind’s apparent creators must be reintroduced at some point in order for the prequels and the original Alien to connect.

Some have dubbed the mechanical menace as the destroyer of the Engineer race, yet there must be something left of them since Alien’s Space Jockey appears to survive beyond Covenant’s timeline.

And let’s not forget, this is an advanced species we’re talking about, one with the means to traverse the galaxy, so the odds of them colonising other planets beyond their now-barren homeland are fairly high.

Perhaps Covenant's sequel will see an army of vengeful Engineer refugees waging war on David and the extra-terrestrial army he’s certain to raise on Origae-6.

At least one of them has to feature in the next instalment since the Space Jockey’s origin story must be divulged before we enter Alien’s timeframe.
