WINNER: Jackie

This category almost always favours period fare, and this year is no exception. Jackie came out of the gate with a massive advantage because, of course, many of the outfits Natalie Portman's Jackie Kennedy wears are both lavish and extremely iconic.

There were a lot of fine contenders in this field, but considering what the movie does with the character in her various costumes and what this means in the wake of her husband's assassination, the clothing has an uncommon, striking impact.
