Annabelle: Creation Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

1. The Smart, Satisfying Ending

While the film's general explanation for Annabelle's possession isn't all that interesting, it does end on a compelling and slightly less predictable note that neatly folds the movie into the rest of the Conjuring Universe.

No spoilers here of course, but it's a fairly elegant solution that's not overly convoluted or complex, but draws a distinct line between all these movies in a satisfying manner.

Whether or not the finale leaves you eager to see another of these films in the future, if this was the last Annabelle movie, this would be a fine way to leave it. But it's probably not the last one, let's be honest.
