20 Horror Movies You'll Never Get To See

18. We're Wolves

Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement's 2014 horror mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows is one of the funniest films of the last 20 years, and it didn't take long for the duo to confirm that a sequel was in the works.

The follow-up was set to focus on the werewolf pack encountered in the original, and had the hilarious title We're Wolves.

Despite considerable fan enthusiasm for the idea, it made little meaningful progress in the years that followed, and in 2019 Waititi called it "the film that Jemaine and I keep pretending that we're making."

With Waititi in particular being a consistently in-demand Hollywood filmmaker, it just seems like this one's destined to never come together.

And while, literally as this piece was being written, Clement confirmed that he and Waititi had finally started writing the script, it's honestly tough to believe that they're going to finally get it over the line after stalling for more than a decade.

It'd be great to be wrong, but don't count on We're Wolves ever actually going before cameras.
