20 Horror Movies You'll Never Get To See

17. Constantine 2

Constantine wasn't particularly well received by critics or audiences on its original 2005 release, but enthusiasm for it has grown considerably since star Keanu Reeves enjoyed a career resurgence with John Wick.

And so demand has ballooned for a sequel, which was officially confirmed to be in development by Warner Bros in 2022, with both Reeves and original filmmaker Francis Lawrence expected to return.

A version of the script was done by late 2024, yet by mid-2025 reports emerged that Reeves wasn't happy with the current shape of it.

We've not heard much about Constantine 2 since, with the last update being a rather downcast statement from DC Studios' co-CEO James Gunn, who revealed last October that he's "discussed it on and off" but hasn't read a script yet.

That doesn't suggest a whole lot of enthusiasm from Gunn, and considering more than 20 years have passed since the original, it's tough to picture Warner Bros. throwing down the necessary budget to produce a worthy follow-up.
