It might not really be their thing, but death is coming to the MCU. Even without solid evidence of that, it makes a lot of sense, given the impending appearance of Thanos and the possible unification of the Infinity Stones. If you listen closely, you can just about hear the clanging chimes of doom already.
And now there's even more reason to believe that at least one person is going to die, because a casting call for Avengers 4 has confirmed that the Russos are looking for mourners for a funeral scene. That's a pretty iron clad confirmation: you don't have a funeral for nobody.
The suggestion from some quarters is that Avengers 4 may open with a funeral, suggesting - as has been predicted before - that Infinity War will end with the emotional gut-punch of someone dying. And if that's the case, it's going to be a big name for impact, but who?
It has to be someone known to the public, and it has to be someone WORTHY of a public funeral. But then, there are a fair few candidates that fit those criteria.
