7. Ultron Makes A Return
The Rumour
After Infinity War saw the surprise return of the villainous Red Skull (Ross Marquand), many fans became convinced that Endgame would follow through with even more fan service-infused resurrections of iconic MCU baddies.
The most frequently-mentioned candidate was Ultron (James Spader), with the fan theories only picking up steam when the Endgame Super Bowl spot showed Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) staring up at an ominous red light.
After all, apart from Scarlet Witch, who else in the MCU emits a distinctive red hue?
The Truth
Unsurprisingly, this wasn't the case at all, and the red glow was in fact an emergency light in the bowels of Avengers HQ during the movie's third act.
Given the rather divisive fan response to Ultron, it was probably for the best (and this movie had plenty to juggle already).
