10. The Properly Dead Infinity War Characters
Getting this one out of the way early because it’s naturally where everyone’s minds will go given… the whole… premise… of the… entire… film.
But no, not Spider-Man, or Black Panther, or Doctor Strange, or Star-Lord, or Scarlett Witch, or Bucky, or any other of those dusty lads and lasses, the people who were killed the old fashioned way.
Undoing the snappening would bring back almost all of the MCU but Loki, Heimdall, Gamora and Vision were all just straight-up murdered in the very, very classic sense. They are dead, gone, and undoing Thanons’ work does nothing to bring them back. Ergo if they appear, it’ll be a complete shock.
There are ways to do it of course. If time travel is as big a part of the story as it’s supposed to be, then there’s not really any reason that the undoing couldn’t extend as far back as the start of the film. It’s obviously a massive cop-out to just undo Infinity War in its entirety, but given the value in having everyone back for future films you could understand Marvel opting for it.
