Cause of Death: Disintegrated.

Groot (Vin Diesel) spends most of the movie being an amusing caricature of a teenager, but that did little to diminish the sadness of his death.

In Wakanda, he starts to turn to dust and utters, "I am Groot", an especially unsettling moment as we can't know exactly what Groot is saying, but we nevertheless have a rough idea of the meaning.

Hammering home the heartbreak is Rocket's devastated reaction, repeating "No, no, no" as his best pal leaves this world. If you cried, nobody would blame you.
