The Concern: After witnessing a hard-to-explain scene where Batman seems to be fighting winged monsters (speculated to be everything from Parademons to Man-Bats), its been seemingly confirmed that this Knightmare Batman will indeed occupy a dream sequence. The worry is that this means a needless amount of time will be spent delving into Batmans mind, when its already a well-known fact how crazy and paranoid he is. Furthermore, the presence of a dream sequence could detract from the films tone and distract from the main story. Why Theres Still Hope: Superman experiencing the visions of Zods destruction in Man Of Steel was one of the more visually stunning moments of the film; seeing him fall under a mountain of skulls was a particular striking image. Having something similar recreated here would surely earn few objections. And if the film is using this scene to set up Justice League in some way as it's been rumoured, that ought to welcomed by fans. This dream sequence could be used in the style of a Marvel post-credits, foreshadowing the future, but be more integrated into the body of the film.
