Batman V Superman: 10 Things That Must Be In The Trailer

Ten good reasons to watch Jupiter Ascending...

By Jonathan Cordiner /

It seems like a new rumour or snippet of information about Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice hits the interwebs practically every day, but the latest titbit stretches credulity to breaking point. A couple of days ago, numerous film and entertainment websites ran with the story that the biggest superhero showdown yet seen on screen will be split in two, with a surprise release planned for October of this year. The rumour mill cranked into life after a spurious image of a screen grab popped up on an Imgur site. The blurry shot of what some believe to be the end of an imminent teaser trailer for the opening gambit in Warner Bros.€™ DC Universe master plan revealed that Batman V Superman was being split into two parts, with Enter the Knight scheduled for release later this year and Part II - Dawn Of Justice - arriving as planned in March 2016. It€™s already been reported that Henry Cavill has debunked the rumour, and that€™s probably just as well. Warner Bros. are sitting on a potential goldmine, so inviting a fan backlash before the wheels are even properly set in motion would be bold, if not foolish. Splitting the final instalment of a saga into two parts is nothing new and perfectly understandable from a (cynical) financial standpoint, but starting a series of films in this fashion would be risky to say the least. More believable are reports that the first proper look at Dawn Of Justice will come with a teaser tied to Jupiter Ascending, which will open on February 6. After witnessing the warm approval that greeted the recent Star Wars trailer, Zack Snyder and co. will be hoping for a similar level of endorsement, so here are some boxes that should and probably will be ticked when fans finally lay eyes on the first official footage.
