Batman V Superman: 5 Moments From The Comic-Con Trailer (That Will Suck In The Film)
We just needed Bruce's parents to die one more time, apparently.
All ofthenumerouscriticisms I've made against the film over the past year pretty much still stand (although I was pleased by the lack of Aqua-Drogo, which suggests the actual "Dawn" will be rather slight) and there's plenty in here that, while passable in a frantically edited trailer, will no doubt look pretty stupid when in full focus during a full movie. Let's rip the doors off and take a look at five such moments that just don't sit right.
By far the biggest story out of 2015's San Diego Comic-Con (mainly because it's the only high-profile teaser that's got a proper, non-leaked release) is the latest trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Three-plus minutes of Man Of Steel sequelisation and the first proper look at Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne, it's set the internet alight and reignite the hot debate about the upcoming Versus flick. The trailer itself is a fairly well put-together piece of marketing, setting the film's tone and showing lots of fan-pleasing stuff without giving up too many plot details, but in terms of addressing the many complaints that have been brewing about the film since it was first announced at SDCC 2013 (that long!) it's not done very much.
