8 Signs Not Even The Filmmakers Have Faith In Batman V Superman

We're not the only ones not expecting great things.

On the horizon there's a lot of big movies that represent major stepping stones for well established franchises. Next summer the Avengers team up again to take on Ultron, while at the end of that year Star Wars makes its bombastic return with the long-awaited Episode VII. But the anticipation for those movies has been mostly positive. Not every film is as lucky. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, the sequel to Man Of Steel and springpad into the D.C. Cinematic Universe, has been a contentious point since it was first announced at Comic Con 2013. It looked like Warner Bros. were simply throwing Batman into the follow up after the disappointing box office haul of the first film for the rebooted Superman, and the subsequent casting of Ben Affleck had a much bigger backlash than anyone expected. Since then it's been a parade of questionable decisions and mounting worry. However, it seems like it's not just the audience who are uncertain about the film's future. Looking at how cast and crew are talking in interviews and the general approach to try and give the whole thing artificially added worth make us think the filmmakers too aren't sure whether this mammoth undertaking can stand by itself either. Today we're going to look at eight pieces of evidence that point towards that.
