Despite being an icon Superman is considered to be a fairly boring character; hes invisible, he has no real flaws as a person and he always does the right thing in every situation. Batman is way cooler because hes just a man who dresses up in an outfit and hes got enough angst to be in therapy for the next couple of decades. With the slightly lukewarm reaction to Man Of Steel alongside rumours that a standalone sequel has been cancelled there were reports that the upcoming film should focus more on Batman instead, with Superman being sidelined in his own sequel. This apparently came about from a screening that received a standing ovation, with Affleck being received much better than Cavill. Again this was all hearsay as Snyder confirmed the film will have an even split; there will be more focus on Batman to begin with as he needs to be introduced, but afterwards their screentime should even out.
