3. The "Martha" Thing
Urgh.
Coming out of Batman v Superman, one of the biggest talking points (and by that I mean stupid things that happened) was that whole Martha thing. You know, as in Batman has finally beaten the tar out of Superman, has even made the Man of Steel bleed, and is about to kill what he sees as an alien menace that has the power to wipe out mankind only he suddenly has a change of heart upon hearing the word Martha.
Now some have interpreted this as being a moment that makes Batman realise that Superman is essentially a man, somebody who has a mother and who is very much human in nature despite his obvious alien origin. You could argue that that is what Zack Snyder and Warner Brothers were going for, but even if that was the case, it was far too rushed to have it have any real impact other than err, did he just decide not to kill him because their mothers have the same name?, which in itself is sadly rather laughable.
Either way, Martha Wayne and Martha Kent were definitely not predicted to have such a key role in proceedings.
