Batman V Superman: 9 Things Nobody Predicted

By Andrew Pollard /

1. Killing Off Superman Already

The inclusion of Doomsday in Batman v Superman obviously had the alarm bells ringing for some that we may be in for some sort of twist on the legendary Death of Superman arc, but nobody predicted that we would actually see the Man of Steel €œdead€ by the time the film came to a close.

Whilst Captain America may well not make it to the end credits of Civil War next month, at least that will have a huge emotional impact amongst audiences and the MCU fanbase should Steve Rogers bite the bullet. That€™s a character who we€™ve had four films €“ five with Cap: Civil War - to get attached to by now and who has, y€™know, not snapped anybody€™s neck. But Henry Cavill€™s Boy Scout has been bizarrely killed off after only his second outing.

Sure, the €œdeath€ will not be permanent €“ with his resurrection seemingly already underway within a matter of seconds of him being buried €“ but, largely because of the majority of people not believing Warner Brothers would be stupid enough, nobody predicted that the WB would actually go ahead and €œkill€ Superman by the end of the movie.
