Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice - 10 Major Concerns Fans Still Have

4. Aquaman? Really?!

While his inclusion in Batman v Superman has not been officially confirmed, it is widely believed Aquaman will appear in the film. With Justice League not following too far behind Batman v Superman, it isn€™t shocking to think other prominent members of the team will appear, but still, Aquaman? What makes Aquaman€™s presence in the film surprising and a bit concerning is the historically poor perception polluting the waters Aquaman calls home. Accurate or not, fair or not, Aquaman has become a bit of a joke over the past few decades. From Saturday Night Live to Family Guy, Aquaman has been the butt of many jokes in pop culture. Even The Big Bang Theory, a television show owned by Warner Bros., has told the world, €œAquaman sucks.€ If memory serves, no superhero movie director has ever had to call a radio station and defend a character against accusations of being lame, but that€™s exactly what Zack Snyder recently did for Aquaman. That Snyder chose to stick up for an alleged character in his movie is admirable. Still, it highlights the problems with including a character so many are eager to laugh at if for no other reason than the belief that they€™re supposed to. The good news is that Jason Momoa already looks like an immediate rebuttal to every argument against Aquaman. From Khal Drogo to Conan, Momoa€™s badassery is above reproach, which will work wonders when the character shows up on screen. Combine that with an updated costume befitting the king of a lost society like Atlantis and Aquaman could go from question mark to the breakout sensation of the entire movie. Really.
