20 Greatest Horror Movie Deaths Of The 2020s (So Far)
7. Michael Myers - Halloween Ends
There's absolutely no denying how polarising Halloween Ends was as a finale to the O.G. Michael Myers era, but at least it served up a concrete conclusion to this era of The Shape.
Laurie Strode's (Jamie Lee Curtis) final clash with Michael (James Jude Courtney) ends with Laurie slitting his throat with a knife and then slashing his wrist, proving beyond any doubt that he was, indeed, a man after all.
But in the interest of ensuring that Michael can't be plausibly resurrected for another sequel, Laurie and her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) drive his corpse to the salvage yard, followed by a procession of Haddonfield residents.
Laurie then dumps Michael's corpse in an industrial shredder, where it's unambiguously torn apart, finally bringing his rampage to an end.
It was an absolute trip to see one of horror's all-timer icons finally get a no-bulls**t death, and while Michael Myers will eventually return in the inevitable Halloween reboot, this was at least a satisfyingly brutal, incredibly final way for this iteration of The Shape to perish.
