6. Cole & Mia - Terrifier 3

Terrifier 3 may not have quite topped the insanity of its predecessor's infamous Allie kill, but it got pretty damn close with the utterly twisted deaths bestowed upon showering lovers Mia (Alexa Blair Robertson) and Cole (Mason Mecartea).

While the pair are going to town, Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) rocks up with a chainsaw, smashing through the shower cubicle and swinging his 'saw at the naked pair.

Art soon enough scalps Mia, wrecking her jaw, before turning his attentions to Cole and unceremoniously shoving a chainsaw up his back-passage, slicing up his knackers for good measure.

And because that's apparently not sadistic enough, Art then splits his entire body in two and makes snow angels in the bloody viscera. 

Terrifier will always be too much for some horror fans, but it's tough to deny filmmaker Damien Leone's astonishing aptitude for practical gore effects. Good luck topping this in Terrifier 4.
