A stunningly crafted, expertly choreographed feast for the senses, The Furious follows a father (Xie Miao) who puts skills learned from his mysterious past to the test after his daughter (Yang Enyou) is kidnapped by a child trafficking syndicate in Hong Kong. 

Breathtakingly brutal and endlessly inventive, Tanigaki's thriller does what's expected - the hero races to save the day, taking on a comically large number of highly-trained foes in the process - but the familiarity of the story helps amplify the action around it, making it a brilliant piece of creative escapism.
