20 Awesome Horror Movies NOBODY Talks About
4. She Dies Tomorrow
Another brilliant indie horror film that got lost in the midst of the pandemic maelstrom now - Amy Seimetz's hypnotic psychological horror-thriller She Dies Tomorrow.
True to its title, the film follows a woman (Kate Lyn Sheil) who becomes consumed with the notion that she will die tomorrow, before her paranoia begins to spread like a virus to those around her.
Though filmed before the pandemic, in 2020 it was absolutely impossible to view She Dies Tomorrow through anything but a timely lens - its depiction of fast-spreading doom simply feeling so immediately relatable in that moment.
And that's perhaps why the film, for all of its trippy low-budget style and exceptional acting, didn't make much of a dent on release - it might've just seemed a bit too real to folk desperately trying to escape the realities of pandemic life.
But far away from its release context, this is a fantastically eerie exercise in cinematic dread that serves as one hell of an acting showcase for the ever-terrific Kate Lyn Sheil.
