20 Great Performances Wasted In Terrible Horror Movies

15. Clancy Brown - Pet Semetary Two

Pet Sematary Two is in no way a good movie - it's about as blatant a cash-in as horror sequels get, but it's also blessed to have an absolutely bugnuts Clancy Brown thrown into the middle of it like a live grenade.

Brown portrays the double-villainous Gus Gilbert - first an abusive, asshole sheriff, and then a certifiable maniac once he's killed, buried in the pet cemetery, and brought back to "life."

Brown's utterly unhinged turn accounts for about 97% of Pet Sematary Two's entertainment value - an all-timer instance of an actor swinging for the fences with reckless abandon and dominating the screen every single second they're on it.

It's just a shame that there's a whole movie surrounding Gus that isn't nearly as captivating, and we've gotta sit through that to see the good stuff. It's heroic work on Brown's part, but he clearly deserved to be in a much better film.
