19. Michael Cera's Home Alone Traps - The Running Man

Edgar Wright's re-adaptation of Stephen King's The Running Man is one of the most disappointing films of the last few years - a shockingly anonymous, generic dystopian action film that lacks Wright's usual wit and visual kineticism, all while pulling its political punches.

The easy highlight, though, is a hoot of a mid-film sequence in which fugitive Ben Richards (Glen Powell) makes contact with activist Elton Parrakis (Michael Cera), just before a SWAT team descends upon their location.

But Elton is more than ready for them, turning on an electrified floor and then shooting it with a giant water gun once they've set foot on it, killing them instantly.

And that's not all - Elton has also fitted the apartment with flamethrowers and booby-trapped stairs, Home Alone-style, allowing them to make a hurried escape.

In a film with staggering little in the way of memorable action, this set-piece absolutely rips, aided by the fun odd-couple chemistry between Cera and Powell.
