5. Viktor - Underworld Series (2003, 2006, 2009)

Evidently, Nighy enjoyed coming back not once, but twice more for his role as vampiric douchebag Viktor in the Underworld films. Whilst his hammy, snarling performance can be slightly enjoyed, in what is his clearly-relished take on the Cushings and Lees of yore, there€™s something about the entire setting he finds himself in which doesn€™t quite land.

It's like he€™s a bit too good for the franchise (which he is). The gravitas with which he approaches the role basically just makes it all look a bit€ beneath him. He€™s clearly having fun, so who's to judge?
