8. Margot Robbie Wants To Explore Harley's Relationship With Poison Ivy

Harley Quinn is a somewhat strange fit for the Birds of Prey but it does appear as if Warner Bros. has found a way to make it work. However, adding the villainous Poison Ivy to the mix might have been a step too far, especially as this looks like a relatively grounded adventure rather than anything too fantastical. It's a shame too because in the comics, Harley and Ivy are romantically involved and exploring that relationship would have been a bold and unexpected move for a film such as this one.

That's not passed Margot Robbie by, though, and she's confirmed that it's a plot point she does indeed want to explore somewhere down the line.

"I've been pushing a Poison Ivy reunion for a long time," the actress confirmed in an interview with CBR. "I've been really working that angle for a long time. Because obviously Ivy and Harley have such an incredible relationship, so I would love to explore that." She made similar comments back in 2018 and while it's entirely possible that there just wasn't room for Ivy here, it's hard not to wonder whether that's something the studio will have to be convinced to include.
