Casting Robert Pattinson's Rogues Gallery In The Batman

12. Honourable Mention: James Gordon - Bryan Cranston

While not a member of the Rogues Gallery, Gordon is its curator, and there would be no better pick than Bryan Cranston. He has become one of the very best actors in the business in no small part thanks to his once in a lifetime performance as Walter White in Breaking Bad. An actor of his calibre would do wonders for the film and establishing him in a mentor role to Pattinson's Batman would give the new Dark Knight more than enough support.

Cranston has already made an appearance in one hollywood franchise, The Monsters Universe. He was praised for his performance in Godzilla which was cut far too short but a role as important as Gordon would ensure that Cranston would be around to entertain us for a long time.

Probably the best alternative to Cranston would be the man who was already cast during Ben Affleck's tenure, J.K Simmons. Both are incredible actors and Simmons is more than capable of retaining the mantle, but in spirit of refreshing the Batman character, perhaps offering the role to Cranston would be the best choice.
