20 Most WTF Horror Movies Of The 2020s (So Far)

9. Slaxx

Let it never be said that Slaxx failed to deliver on the straight-up promise of its title.

This is a film about a pair of possessed jeans (!) that wreak havoc on the employees of a trendy clothing store, and it absolutely delivers what you'd reasonably expect from that logline.

Credit to filmmaker Elza Kephart for executing such a wild concept on an evidently low-budget without sacrificing style and panache, the various gory, garment-based death scenes proving the obvious highlight.

But what's perhaps more unexpected is the film's surging satirical element, taking fast fashion to task alongside our collective complicity in its existence with a gnarly origin story for the cursed jeans.

And at just 77 minutes in length, Kephart quite sensibly appreciates the virtue of getting out of dodge before the central gag outstays its welcome.

With so many dead-serious Possessed Object movies out there, what a delight that Slaxx instead fully leans into its campy outlandishness.
