16. AJ Gets Fed A Rat - Barbarian

Zach Cregger's Barbarian is one sick puppy of a movie alright, but it was actually originally even sicker.

Who among us can forget the nauseating sequence where a kidnapped AJ (Justin Long) is forcibly breastfed by the mutant mother (Matthew Patrick Davis) after he refuses to drink milk from a bottle?

But shortly after the film's release, Justin Long revealed that the first cut of the scene was even more gross.

After the breastfeeding, AJ originally suffered another nauseating indignity - the mother bit the head off a rat, masticated it in her mouth, and then "baby-birded" it into AJ's mouth to feed him.

But according to Long, during post-production Cregger decided to cut the scene because he "felt like it was a bridge too far gross-wise."

And honestly, it was probably the right call - there's a lot of nasty stuff in this movie, but puke-feeding a dead rat would've most likely lost a decent chunk of the audience.
