Even though it seems we'll see Strange following rumours around the East to find a means to fix his hands, he's obviously initially cynical about what he hears about the Ancient One: "I don't believe in fairytales about chakras or energy or the power of belief.."

He's definitely channelling Neo a little. And he definitely sounds suspiciously like Hugh Laurie in House.

It's very much an Alice In Wonderland style situation (again with the Matrix parallel), and watching his personal development from cynic to believer to sorceror supreme is the kind of origin story that is still wholly welcome.
