As already established throughout the list, Wright and Pegg were influenced by quite a large amount of Romeros back catalogue when concocting their rom-zom-com. In fact, the big man was so flattered with the volume of references and homages that he decided to reward the creative pairing with a cameo in one of his films. You can see Pegg and Wright in Romeros 2005 Land of the Dead they play two zombies in the near-futures equivalent of a fairground park, chained up to a structure so survivors can have their pictures taken with them.
