7. X-Men: First Class

Now THIS is how you reboot a franchise!

After the one-two punch of The Last Stand and Origins, we all thought the X-Men series had run out of steam. It was time to put it to bed and let the up-and-coming MCU take over.

Then along came Matthew Vaughn, fresh off of Kick-Ass, and gave the mutants a much-needed injection of style and adrenaline.

Although James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are undoubtedly the stars here, a villainous Kevin Bacon and a young upstart by the name of Jennifer Lawrence bolster a busy supporting cast.

All in all, First Class is top class, a fresh and exciting take on a tired story. It's also got Rose Byrne in it, which is a huge plus to any movie.
