Every Upcoming MCU Project Ranked By Anticipation

Just how bright exactly is the future of the MCU?

Even the most ardent defender of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would struggle to argue that things haven't taken a turn for the worse since Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) snapped Thanos (Josh Brolin) into non-existence. Superhero fatigue, the whole quantity versus quality debate, and a lack of any real direction within the Multiverse Saga have hurt the franchise.

That being said, the magic of the Infinity Saga was like catching lightning in a bottle, and just because the next chapter in the story hasn't lived up to the impossibly high bar set doesn't mean that it hasn't been good. Not as good as it once was, sure, but still good.

And the franchise is still going, with plenty of projects on the slate for the future. Naturally, some of these are more exciting than others, as some are going to be crucially important and will likely make billions of dollars, while others will pass by without a huge amount of notice.

While there have been rumours of certain projects swirling around for some time, this list will focus on those that have had either an official announcement, or at least some form of confirmation that they are happening, even if it's just some as-of-yet empty release dates.

15. Unconfirmed 2028 & 2029 Movies

It is no secret that Kevin Feige has a master plan for the future of the MCU, something that is more than proved by the extensive list of projects already officially announced, stretching to the end of the Multiverse Saga and beyond.

However, there can be no doubt that there is a lot more going on behind the scenes, with cogs already turning for projects that are either only at the rumour stage for now, or that fans may not have even considered.

To this end, there may well be some unannounced movies already on the slate, potentially filling in the currently open slots Marvel Studios has reserved in 2028 and 2029. Something revolving around Midnight Sons or Nova, perhaps? How about an Eternals sequel, or another crack at the Inhumans? Hell, after what the studio has achieved with Spider-Man, even another Hulk movie can't be written off entirely.

These are all exciting prospects, though this is almost like an "honourable mention" entry, coming with the caveat that some, potentially all, of the slots will be taken up by projects already announced and without an official release date, but there is always the chance of a surprise or two.
