16. Totally Wasting Sigourney Weaver - The Mandalorian & Grogu

The Mandalorian and Grogu was a perfectly fine film - a watchable if mostly forgettable romp that basically coasted on the charm of its practical puppetry.

But its biggest crime? Casting an actress as beloved in the sci-fi realm as Sigourney Weaver and giving her absolutely nothing to do.

Weaver plays Ward, effectively The Mandalorian's (Pedro Pascal) mission-giver throughout the movie, showing up every so often to drop a ton of exposition and... not a whole lot else.

Considering Weaver's popularity and undeniable acting ability, this was a total waste. 

Why even cast her if you're not going to give her a worthwhile arc as a supporting mentor character, nor as many believed pre-release, a secret villain?

Weaver seems positively bored to death throughout the film rattling through the mechanical dialogue she's given, and honestly who can blame her? Any number of character actors could've played this part at considerably lower cost.
