4. Terrifier 4

Plenty of slasher sequels try to crank up the violence, but few if any succeed on the same level as Terrifier. Just when you feel like you've grown numb to the avalanche of gore, Art the Clown performs a nasty stunt that'll leave anyone recoiling in disgust.

As such, the horror community is curious, hyped, and justifiably concerned by the approaching Terrifier 4, which Damien Leone claims will serve as the finale (for now).

For this reason, expect the mute jester to unleash a massacre that dwarves anything seen before in the series. Though it's tough to think of anything that could surpass the infamous bedroom or shower scenes in previous instalments, the man behind Art the Clown, David Howard Thornton, promises the climax will be "bat-s*&t insane".

As if that weren't enough, Terrifier 4 will do the unthinkable and finally unveil Art's mysterious backstory. 

Whether this is truly the end or the demonic mime is just taking a sabbatical, here's hope Terrifier 4 is another bloodcurdling, toe-curling experience and viewers recover from the nightmarish imagery as soon as possible.
