5. The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth

Even many Quentin Tarantino die-hards would've been perfectly fine with his most recent film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, being a total one-off, especially when Tarantino revealed that he would only be writing the standalone follow-up, centered around Brad Pitt's stuntman Cliff Booth.

But the tide sure changed once it was announced that the film would be directed by none other than David Fincher, with an absolutely stupid-good ensemble cast to boot, including Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Holt McCallany, and Timothy Olyphant.

Tarantino himself said that he was uncomfortable with anyone but Fincher, indisputably one of the greatest filmmakers working today, helming his script, and beyond ensuring the movie will be a filmbro wet dream, this mighty pairing ensures it will do ungodly numbers when it releases on Netflix this December.

It's just a shame that the film will forego a conventional theatrical release, with its big-screen bow being limited to an IMAX-exclusive engagement.
