In ABCs fantasy drama Once Upon A Time, Dornan took a role in the first season as the Huntsman, who's been cast into the real world as Sheriff Graham Humbert. Freed from the constraints of more serious drama and given a network-backed show to work on for the first time in his career, Dornan appears more comfortable in his acting skin here - or at least he did, until he was killed off (Dornan made his last appearance, as a guest, in season 2). The fantastical world of Once Upon A Time gives Dornan a chance to be more playful and comedic than he has before or since. Though fans wonder still if Dornan will ever return to the show, he recently answered with a definitive, "yeah, I don't know. He's kind of dead."
