1. Even Non-Racing Fans Will Enjoy It
Racing movies don't need to appeal to a wider audience to be successful, though when they're budgeted at almost $100 million as Le Mans '66 is, it certainly helps.
And thankfully, it's the latest entry into the genre which tows a fine line by not only appealing to the history and racing buffs, but also doing enough to keep the casual crowd enthralled.
Those already clued-up on the real-life story may find this approach more Hollywood than journalistic, but if you're worried that the film will fly over your head - or rather, race past you - because you don't watch racing on the regular, fear not.
Despite all the corporate sparring at its core, this is an incredibly human story about family, perseverance, ego, and legacy, and has far more to it than the racing centerpieces.
