2. The Reavers Confront Logan
The movie's best action sequence actually occurs at the end of the first act, as Pierce and the Reavers arrive at Logan's makeshift home, shortly after Laura also shows up there.
Cue a tense confrontation that explodes into violence when Laura slaughters a gang of Reavers sent to capture her (even decapitating one of them), and then starts wailing away on the rest of the army.
Logan, at this point still firmly believing Laura to be going into business for herself, attempts to evacuate himself and Charles from the situation in his limo, resulting in a brief but thoroughly entertaining, Mad Max-style chase sequence.
The best moment? Logan using a barbed wire fence stuck to the front of his limo to trip up some motorcyclist assailants, before allowing Laura to slickly dive on top of the limo and get in through the sunroof.
The direction, editing, cinematography and performances all conspire to make this a classic comic book action sequence. And better still, there's barely any CGI to speak of.
